Leadership
Bishop’s Committee
In a Mission congregation such as ours, the Bishop’s Committee
is the elected lay leadership body of the congregation. (In a
Parish, the equivalent group would be known as the Vestry.) As
such, they are responsible for the congregation’s finances, the
upkeep of all property and buildings, all personnel matters, and
the development of the church’s vision for mission and
ministry.
Christ Church’s Bishop's Committee is comprised of a Warden,
a Treasurer, Clerk and up to five at-large members. The
congregation’s priest (known in a Mission congregation as the
Vicar) is also a member of the Bishop's Committee and
presides at all meetings. Our Bishop's Committee meets
monthly on the third Tuesday at 7 p.m. Every other month, a
joint Executive Committee of Trinity Church and Christ Church’s
Bishop’s Committees convenes to coordinate activities.
