The Rev. David “Chip” Robinson, Vicar

The Rev. David “Chip” Robinson came to us in 2012 after eleven years as rector of the Church of our Saviour in Milford, followed by a brief stint as interim priest at Church of the Holy Spirit, Plymouth. Before coming to New Hampshire in 2000, he served as rector of Grace Church, Norwood, Mass. and, before that, as associate rector at Church of the Holy Spirit, Orleans, Mass. Fr. Chip received his Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary, and his undergraduate degree from Salisbury University (Md.). He and his wife, Cindy, reside in the Christ Church rectory.

Nita Niemczyk, Shared Ministry Administrator

Nita Niemczyk has been Trinity Church, Hampton’s Secretary since 1997 and, since 2013 has been the "Shared Ministry Administrator" for both Trinity Church and Christ Church, Portsmouth.  Along with her secretarial duties, Nita oversees the running of the Hobbs House Community Center at Trinity Church. She is very active volunteering in the community, especially for the Hampton Community Coalition (HCC) which is based in Hobbs House.  Through the HCC, she partners with businesses, schools, and other community groups to run food drives  to help keep the Hobbs House Food Pantry stocked throughout the year.

Bishop’s Committee

In a Mission congregation such as ours, the Bishop’s Committee is the elected lay leadership body of the congregation. (In a Parish, the equivalent group would be known as the Vestry.) As such, they are responsible for the congregation’s finances, the upkeep of all property and buildings, all personnel matters, and the development of the church’s vision for mission and ministry. Christ Church’s Bishop's Committee is comprised of a Warden, a Treasurer, Clerk and up to five at-large members. The congregation’s priest (known in a Mission congregation as the Vicar) is also a member of the Bishop's Committee and presides at all meetings. Our Bishop's Committee meets jointly with that of our sister congregation, Trinity Church, Hampton, monthly on the third Tuesday at 7:00pm.

Brendan Battey, Music Director

Effective Sept. 3, Brendan Battey will be our new Director of Music for the Shared Ministry. Brendan is a life-long Episcopalian, and grew up at St. Matthew’s Church, Goffstown. He has been the organist and accompanist for the New Boston Community Church for the last six years, where he rehearsed weekly with the choir (except over the summers), prepared the weekly service music and hymns, and chose and prepared preludes and postludes. He has also accompanied quite a few musicals, and recently began music directing at UNH. He is currently music director for the youth program at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre. He comes highly recommended not only by his Rector and the musicians with which he has worked, but by others have known him and admired his dedication and talents.
